For lunch I made this super Creamy Lemon Pasta with Turkey breast and Peas. It is the easiest recipe ever and one of my absolute favorite dishes which is both comforting and homely, It is creamy and flavored with lemon zest and delivers all the nutrients your body will need to fight effects of winter. Exactly what we needed to fully enjoy lazy Sunday while watching Beverly Hills 90210 marathon.Usualy, recipes found on line do not always work; I guess there are some little things Chefs never tell you, but this one worked perfectly and this is what you have to do:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. In a small saucepan, combine the heavy cream and 2 teaspoons of the lemon zest, simmer over the lowest heat.
Add the pasta and cook until al dente. One minute before the pasta is done, add the peas. Drain the pasta and peas and add back to the pot. Add the hot lemon and cream to the pasta and toss to combine.
Add the third teaspoon of lemon zest and season to taste with salt and black pepper.
Serve the pasta with a crumble of turkey brest over the top.
- 1 lb pasta of your chice
- 6 pieces of smoked turkey breast cooked to crispy
- 1 cup heavy cream (I used light, 12% fat)
- 3 teaspoons lemon zest
- ½ cup peas
- salt and black pepper
